SBMU Pharmaceutical Sciences Research Center published Antibacterial Agents and Antibiotics (Drug Information and Clinical Application) this year. This book is authored by Dr. Mehrdad Feizi, faculty member of toxicology and pharmacology in the SBMU School of Pharmacy, with the assistance of Dr. Vahid Farzaneh far, resident of toxicology and pharmacology.
Having pointed out to the undeniable importance of access to a reference for drug information with the clinical application and approach in the medical society including physicians, pharmacists, nurses and other professionals in the field of medicine, Dr. Feizi stated that Antibacterial drugs (antibiotics) have not only been of paramount significance in saving life of mankind and the community while combating with fatal diseases, but also they have always played a crucial role to treat infection ,improve quality of life and increase life expectancy as a result of that. Antibiotic resistance known as a challenge for human societies these days is caused by inappropriate use of antibiotics which from the medical point of view its potential risks should be regarded as a serious threat for the world population.
