Masih Daneshvari Hospital, National ResearchInstituteof TuberculosisandLung Diseases, obtained the first place among 50 medical science centers of excellence throughout the country in 2015.
Having taken into account brilliant scientific activities of Masih Daneshvari Hospital in the area of organ transplantation, this institute with 80 lung, 180 heart and several heart-lung transplant surgeries is now the record holder of transplantation among the countries in the Middle East Region. To mention but a few, Iran has been considerably more active than Turkey in terms of number of transplant surgeries performed so far.
