Opening new clinics in Torfeh, Shahid Beheshti Medical educational and treatment healthcare center
Specialty and subspecialty clinics for retinal and vitreous diseases and an operation room for refractive surgeries have been inaugurated in Torfeh, SBMU educational and treatment center, by the Health Minister.
The clinics, being built within 400 m2, consist of three retina and vitreous clinics, one optometry room with two units, imaging division (Fluorescein and OCT), an operation room for intraocular injections, laser rooms equipped with different types of laser and all necessary equipment for patients with retinal diseases. Due to the increasing number of diabetic patients and retinal diseases induced by diabetes, establishing such a clinic in this healthcare center has been considered as the most important measure to be taken.
It is notable that this center is equipped with EX500 Excimer Allegretto laser, which is known as a well-equipped system of the third generation of laser machines in the world.
Dr.Hashemi, the Health Minister, after the opening ceremony on November 10, 2014, officially put the aforementioned machine into operation by correcting the refractive disorder in the eyes of a nurse.
