Opening of the biggest clean rooms in medical universities in Iran in the presence of Vice President in Scientific Affairs
Dr. Peyvandi , SBMU University Chancellor, honorably referred to the official opening of the SBMU biggest clean rooms among medical universities with the area of 420 square meters. He pointed out to great efforts of professors, knowledge-based companies and the support of Vice President in Scientific Affairs and Deputy of Research and Technology of the Ministry of Health to establish clean rooms.
He mentioned that clean rooms provide a suitable infrastructure and standard space for mass production ofindustrial drugs and biological products. At present, two drugs of GCSF & Interferon Gamma are at the stage of mass production and two other Peptide drugs have obtained finish product permission.
He explained about strong potentials of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and its second place among medical universities in Iran. Given all existing difficulties, he finally stated that our approach is to develop links between basic and clinical science, benefit from intra and inter-university research collaboration, use modern and advanced equipment and define clear research directions for research institutes and educational departments.
