Recognition ceremony of the former chancellor and the appointment of the new chancellor of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences
The recognition ceremony for the appreciation of the services of Dr. Ali Asghar Peyvandi and the appointment of Dr. Mohammad Aghajani as the new head and chancellor of the university was held on Monday September 6th, at the Imam Khomeini Hall of the Faculty of Medicine. The Minister of Health, Dr. Hassan Hashemi, the Deputy Minister and other officials of the ministry, Dr. Ali Akbar Velayati, the international advisor to the Supreme Leader, Dr. Seyed Amir Mohsen Ziaei, the head of the Red Crescent Society, Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Mehmandar, the head of Tehran traffic police, the authorities of other executive agencies, members of the board of directors, professors, presidents, administrators, staff and students of the university attended the ceremony.
Dr. Hashemi, the Minister of Health and Medical Education described the positive results of the four year leadership of Dr. Peyvandi, who referred to extensive regional and international services.
During the ceremony, Dr. Peyvandi presented a brief overview of the activities carried out over the past four years, and then the new chancellor Dr. Aghajani presented his future plans.
At the end of the ceremony, the decree of the new chancellor of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences was delivered by the Minister of Health to Dr. Aghajani.
