Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences has been promoted in the 2019 Webometrics ranking
According to the first half of 2019 Webometrics ranking database, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences has been ranked 819 in the world rankings by an improvement of 116 steps up from the previous year. Also, In the national medical university rankings, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences was ranked second.
The purpose of the Webometrics system is to investigate the extent to which the university is influenced and scientifically represented in cyberspace. Therefore, medical and non-medical universities world ranking is based on the index of presence in the virtual world (web). The ranking is carried out by the Cybermetrics Laboratory of the Spanish National Research Association and contains databases of more than 28,000 institutions, universities and research centers.
