Tajikistan Deputy Minister of Health along with his delegation visited

SBMU Public Relations: Deputy Minister of Health of Tajikistan along with his delegation visited Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences on August 18, 2015.

Dr. Nasim Olimov, Deputy Minister of Health of Tajikistan, Mr. Noureddin Movahedinov, Director of Higher EducationResearch Institute of Medical Sciences of Tajikistan, Mr. Zafar Shripoov, Director of Tajikistan National Centre for Transplantation, Mr. Saymakh med Esmaeelov, Director of Tajikistan National Centre for Heart Transplantation, along with Deputy Ambassador of Tajikistan in Iran and Ms. Ansari, Expert in International Affairs of Ministry of Health along with Dr. Bijan Naqib Zadeh, SBMU Vice  Chancellor in International affairs, Dr. Ahmad Ghareh Baghian, Director of University to International Advancement,  visited Taleghani Hospital and The SBMU Endocrine Research Center (ERC).

The Tajiki Delegation, at the end of their visit, met with Dr. Peivandi, University Chancellor, Dr. Palesh, Executive Advisor of the Chancellor and Dr. Sadoughi, Deputy Director of Education, Dr. Simforoush, university professor & Director of Urology Department, Dr. Naqib Zadeh, Vice Chancellor in International Affairs, Dr. Ghareh Baghian, Director of University to International Advancement, Dr. Rahimi, Head of theInternational Branch, and Ms. Karimi, Director of SBMU Public Relations.

In this meeting, Dr. Peivandi welcomed the Tajiki Delegation and thanked them for their hospitality in his last trip to Tajikistan. Afterwards, he briefly explained about SBMU educational, research and treatment activities and capacities, and the potential capacity of the SBMU affiliated centers to collaborate with Tajikistan, considering the culture, language and common interests between the two countries especially in terms of student admission in higher levels of education in the field of organ transplantation (liver, kidney, lung and heart), ophthalmology, urology and other specialties needed in Tajikistan.

At the end of the meeting, Director ofTajikistan National Centre for Transplantationreceived two text books, written by Dr. Simforoush, which are used by Iranian specialists as reference books. Having received permission from Dr. Simforoush, he showed interest in translation and publication of the two books to be distributed among Tajiki physicians.
