The name of seven of the SBMU academic staff among the top 20 outstanding scientists at the national level in Iran
Professor Fereidoon Azizi has ranked the first at the national level among all outstanding scientists, and the name of seven of the SBMU academic staff is among the top 20 outstanding scientists at the national level in Iran.
Professor Jafar Mehrad, the director of the ISC Citation Site, while noting to the selection of 20 top and most outstanding scientists in medicine in the ISC (Islamic Science Citation), he said: “the presentation of the scientists has provided a very favorable environment for the universities and research centers, and this has had a pleasant feedback which shows that the scientists do all they can to promote science in their own fields.”
He further mentioned that Professor Azizi of SBMU has obtained the highest ranking grade among all universities of medical sciences, and Professor Bagher Larijani ranks the second.
The 3rd and 4th ranks belong respectively to Professors Hamid Alavi Majd and Professor Naser Velaei; the ranks 7 & 8 belong respectively to Professors Mahdi Hedayati and Ali Javadi, and rank 13 belongs to Professor Parvin Mirmiran, and the rank 16 has been obtained by Professor Yadollah Mehrabi (all from the SBMU).
The ISC director noted that, therefore, 7 of the academic staff out of 20 universities of medical sciences are from SBMU.
The ISC director also mentioned that the selection of such scientists is based upon their number of publications, and valid and reliable publications from the Ministry of Science, Research & Technology, Ministry of Health, Treatment, and Medical Education, documented in the ISC website.
