The university hosted leading scientist of the Islamic world
Two of the world's leading scientists in the field of nanotechnology, pharmacology and drug delivery, which were nominated for the second edition of Mustafa International Award, visited Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences.
Professor Jackie Ying, Executive Director of the Singapore Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology, with an H-index of 73 in the Scopus database and the winner of the previous Mustafa award and Professor Farhan Jalees Ahamd, a researcher in the field of medicine and pharmacology at Hamdard University, both attended meetings with university officials and faculty members. Moreover, they visited research centers, laboratories and their activities and attended a general conference with the presence of students and faculty members to exchange views on the latest achievements in the field of nanotechnology and drug delivery.
During this event Dr. Harirchi, Deputy Minister of Health, Dr. Ranjbarzadeh, a member of the Iran’s Parliament and Dr. Faizi, Vice-Chancellor of International Affairs were present. First, Dr. Faizi presented a statistical and scientific report on the status and achievements of the university. Then Dr. Harirchi commended the importance of Mustafa's prize in the Muslim world and thanked the student Basij organization for their efforts in organizing the conference and analyzing health issues.
It should be noted that during this event, the two of the world's premier Islamic scholars presented their achievements and enlightening their advances and articles. At the end of the ceremony they responded to questions from students attending this event.
